01 · What this policy covers
This policy describes how Chris Brannan (operating at cwbrannan.com, hereafter "the Site", "I", or "me") collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you visit the Site, submit a form, purchase a service, or otherwise interact with me through the Site.
02 · What I collect
I collect two categories of information:
- Information you provide directly — name, email, company, phone number (where applicable), message content, and any other details you submit via forms on the Site.
- Automatically collected information — via Google Analytics (served through Google Tag Manager with Consent Mode v2), I collect standard web analytics data: page views, referrer, device type, approximate location (city-level), session duration, and similar aggregated traffic metrics.
03 · How I use analytics
Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are configured with Consent Mode v2. By default, analytics cookies and tracking requests are denied until you click "Accept" in the cookie banner. If you click "Reject" or close the banner without accepting, no tracking requests fire.
You can change your consent at any time by clearing your browser's local storage for this site; the banner will reappear on your next visit.
04 · How I use information you submit
- To respond to your inquiry, deliver services you purchased, or send newsletters you subscribed to
- To improve the Site based on aggregated feedback
- To comply with legal obligations (tax, accounting, etc.)
I do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. I do not share your data with advertising networks. I do not profile or target you for ads on other sites.
05 · Third-party services
The Site uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policy:
- Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — web analytics (gated by Consent Mode v2)
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, DDoS protection
- Stripe (for audit purchases) — payment processing; no card details touch my servers
- Cal.com / Calendly — booking scheduler (if you book a call)
- Resend / [ESP to be configured] — newsletter delivery and contact form email
06 · Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights including:
- Access to the personal data I hold about you
- Correction of inaccurate data
- Deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
- Objection to certain processing
- Opt-out of sale of personal information (CCPA) — I do not sell personal information

07 · Data retention
I retain personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose it was collected for, plus any period required for legal / accounting / tax compliance. Newsletter subscriptions are retained until you unsubscribe. Form submissions are retained for 3 years unless you request earlier deletion.
08 · Children's privacy
The Site is not directed at children under 13. I do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information, please email me and I'll delete it.
09 · Changes to this policy
I may update this policy periodically. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page along with an updated date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
