Specialty

Hourly Consulting.

For specific questions, second opinions, or narrow projects that don't warrant an audit or retainer. Two-hour minimum, booked via calendar. Useful when you need pattern-matching against real experience, not a full engagement.

The short version

What this actually is.

For when you need an answer, not an engagement. A second opinion on a proposal you have been handed, a diagnosis of why rankings dropped last month, a decision about whether a migration is going to hurt you, or an hour with your in-house marketer who is stuck on something specific.

Two-hour minimum, booked through the calendar. Come with the question and any access I would need to look at the actual data, and you get a practitioner working the problem live rather than a scoped project with a proposal attached. Most of these are one session and done, which is the intent.

If the answer turns out to be bigger than an hourly conversation — and sometimes it is — I will say so on the call rather than billing hours against a problem that needs a different shape of engagement.

Your side

What I need from you .

None of this is heavy, but the engagement stalls without it. Worth knowing before you commit rather than in week three.

  • The specific question, sent ahead of the call so I can look before we talk rather than during
  • Read access to whatever is relevant: Search Console, analytics, the site, the GBP
  • Whoever actually owns the decision, on the call — relaying answers secondhand wastes the hour
Reporting

What arrives, and when .

  • A written summary after the session with what we covered and what to do next
  • Any specs, queries, or checklists produced during the call, sent as usable files rather than described
Before you commit

Questions worth asking .

What can we realistically cover in two hours?

A focused diagnosis and a plan. A ranking drop investigation, a migration risk review, a proposal second-opinion, or a working session with your marketer all fit comfortably. A full competitive strategy does not — that is the strategy engagement.

Do you do implementation hourly?

No. Hourly is advice, diagnosis, and working sessions. Implementation work runs through a retainer, because doing it well requires continuity that hourly billing quietly discourages on both sides.

Can I book you monthly for check-ins?

You can, and some people do. But if you find yourself booking every month, a retainer is almost certainly cheaper and better — say so and I will tell you honestly which one costs you less.
