How does white-label local SEO work?

Your agency owns the client relationship and branding; a white-label partner does the SEO fulfillment behind the scenes. Every deliverable carries your brand. In my model, that's up to 3 client sites per month, under NDA, for $1,497/month.

White-label local SEO is a fulfillment arrangement: your agency owns the client relationship, the retainer, and the branding, while a specialist partner does the actual SEO work behind the scenes. Every deliverable — audits, reports, content, communications — carries your agency’s brand, not the partner’s. Your client sees your team doing the work, because contractually and practically, it is your work product.

The model in one paragraph

An agency sells SEO to its clients at retail, buys fulfillment at wholesale, and keeps the margin plus the relationship. The partner never appears in deliverables, never contacts the client, and operates under an NDA. The agency reviews and presents the work; the client experience is seamless. It’s how a full-service agency offers credible local SEO without a specialist hire, tooling investment, and 6-12 months of process-building.

Who does what

The agency owns: the client relationship, retail pricing, account management, and presentation. You decide what the client pays and how the work is framed.

The white-label partner owns: the fulfillment — GBP optimization, citations, review program support, content, competitive research, and reporting built to go out under the agency’s brand.

The seam between them is where arrangements succeed or fail: reporting quality (can it go to the client unedited?), communication (a named person or a ticket queue?), and confidentiality (is there an NDA with non-solicitation language?). The white-label audits guide covers how to evaluate partners on exactly these points.

How my partnership runs

The full detail is on the agency partnership page, but the shape is four steps:

  1. NDA + scope. Mutual NDA before any client discussion, then we define which of your clients I’ll deliver for, delivery expectations, and communication protocol.
  2. Onboarding per client. A 2-week audit and onboarding phase for each client — delivered under your brand, presented by you or me depending on your preference.
  3. Monthly delivery. Standard local SEO work (GBP, citations, reviews, content, reporting) delivered monthly. Your team reviews and presents to the client, or I join the call if you’d rather.
  4. Quarterly alignment. A leadership-level sync every 90 days on partnership health, pipeline, and scope.

The terms: $1,497/month for up to 3 client sites, a 6-month minimum partnership, a direct Slack channel, and a monthly delivery ops call. It’s built for full-service marketing agencies — not SEO-focused shops — whose clients are single-location or small multi-location local businesses. As of this writing there are two active partnerships and one open slot.

What it costs across the market

White-label fulfillment ranges from roughly $200/month offshore packages to $1,500+/month US-based specialist work, and the spread buys research depth, reporting quality, and communication. The full pricing breakdown walks through the three pricing models, the margin math, and the red flags in cheap fulfillment.

The economics driving the whole model: a full-time local SEO specialist runs $70-100K per year all-in, and the hire only pencils out with enough client volume to keep them utilized. White-label converts that fixed cost into a variable one — you buy capacity when you have clients, and you scale down without carrying payroll when you don’t.
